I haven't blogged about this yet because I wasn't too sure if I wanted to because I am not one who likes to brag about myself and especially this, I dont really feel like I have the right to brag about losing weight because i'm partially cheating with it!

Since October 1st I have been losing weight and I have yet to start exercising or eating healthy, I have been a little bit but not like I should be! October 1st I weighted 184 lbs and my goal weight is 150 lbs, but I would like to be less but if I get to at least 150 I would be very happy! So I had 35 lbs to lose!!! That's a lot!

I went to see my doctor (who is in the office I work in) and told him I needed help losing weight for our wedding! I was honest and told him I don't have the motivation to work out or can afford to join a gym! I told him I walk with my mom and sometimes Stefan when it's nice out but other than that I don't have the motivation! He asked me all the doctor questions like what do I eat (lots of pasta, pizza, etc), how much do I exercise (i don't), how much sugar do I eat in a day (a ton), how much pop do i drink?(i drink it like it's water) and so i pretty much gave him answers he didn't want to hear!

So for a couple weeks he told me to stop drinking pop and i would probably lose at least 15 lbs! Well I did and I didn't lose a thing, but I also didn't gain anything either!

So he gave me a second option, which was medication! Honestly, it scared me because I have always heard about diet medicine and how it's bad for you so I questioned it! He assured me it was safe but it did have it's side affects, what medication doesn't? But i trusted him so I said let's try it! He ordered lab work to be done to make sure all my numbers were normal and okay before he prescribed anything. Turns out I have high cholesterol, boo!! He put me on a cholesterol diet which sucked and only lasted a week! I LOVE pasta and pizza! I couldn't give it up! I couldn't go from eating everything white to eating everything wheat! I don't even like wheat, and yes I tried it and couldn't do it! He still put me on the medicine and wanted to see what would happen!

I started taking it October 1st and before he was going to refill it every month he wanted to check my blood pressure (because that was one of the side affects is increasing your blood pressure) and my weight! So at the end of every month that's what he does! But I am so impatient I started weighting myself every monday morning when I got to work to see what I had lost the week before! The first week was nothing and the second week was 2 lbs!

There are other ladies that I work with who are on it and lost weight extremely fast so I was kind of discouraged by that, that I had only lost 2 lbs! SO I changed my eating habits and cut out pop again to help out more! I still drink pop but only when we got out to eat or we are eating pizza! And i started counting my calories! I found an app on my phone called My fitness pal and I put all my information in it plus my goal weight and it gave me a 1,200 calorie diet so that's what I'm on! I haven't changed the way the i'm eating all the way but I'm not eating as much as I use to! Before I eat I put what I'm eating into the app and if it goes over my calories limit I either won't eat it or I won't eat all of it, it just depends!

As of today I weight 167 lbs and I feel different already! It's only 17lbs but still, that's better than nothing at all! and the medicine is doing fine. It hasn't effected me in any way becauses losing weight! It gives me tons of energy in the mornings because that's when I take it and by 6:00 at night I feel like I hit a wall and I am exhausted! My cholesterol level has actually gone down which is good! AND my scrubs I wear to work are hanging off of me and none of my jeans fit anymore, well they do but I am constantly pulling them up, which gets annoying so I just wear my leggings all the time and I am starting to have to keep pulling them up too!

I tried finding old pictures and pictures from now to show a difference but when I was heavier I never took full body pictures because I didn't like the way I looked and honestly I don't feel like I look any different but I have gotten lots of compliments and people telling me they can tell I have lost weight! So i am glad it's starting to show, but I still have a ways to go and i am hoping I can keep it up! (:

If it makes a difference, from the outside looking in, you can def see a change!! Keep it up! :)
